Cathedral Choirs Emergency Fund
In partnership with The Ouseley Church Music Trust and the Choir Schools’ Association, Friends of Cathedral Music (part of Cathedral Music Trust) has launched the Cathedral Choirs’ Emergency Fund to support choirs silenced during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Launch of Cathedral Music Trust
The Trustees of the Friends of Cathedral Music (FCM) are delighted to announce that they have formed a new charity, the Cathedral Music Trust. The Trust will be a voice for cathedral music, upholding this integral part of the nation’s cultural heritage by campaigning on behalf of cathedral music and musicians, supporting cathedral choirs and choristers in need, and encouraging the pursuit of excellence in choral and organ music. Harry Christophers, CBE, founder and conductor of The Sixteen, has agreed to be the Trust’s first President.

We are enormously grateful to John Rutter, Collegium Records and the Cambridge Singers for allowing us to use their recording on our video.
Sing Forever video launched
269 choristers have joined Aled Jones, Elizabeth Watts and the BBC Radio 2 Young Choristers of 2019 to make a lockdown video recording of Robert Prizeman’s Sing Forever, specially arranged by Ashley Grote. The song is supporting the Cathedral Choirs Emergency Fund.
We are incredibly grateful to the musicians at Norwich Cathedral who have worked so hard to make this possible. You can watch the video and donate here.
