Good places to visit

Gatherings take place in cathedrals throughout the UK and on occasions overseas.  These give you an opportunity to visit and get to know a new cathedral and area, hearing the wonderful music on offer in that place, and visiting places of interest in the vicinity.  In the past we have visited places of historical, musical and cultural interest, travelling by coach, bus, train and tram - and all efficiently, safely and sympathetically organised.

Good music

Every gathering involves a range of services, including Eucharist, Matins, Evensong, Vespers and Compline, and will often include organ recitals in the host cathedral or other local churches of interest, and recitals from local musicians, show-casing the talents of the choristers or local school pupils.  There are always opportunities to hear from the musicians and clergy of the area about their work.

Good company

Gatherings provide an opportunity to meet and socialise with like-minded people in wonderful surroundings, sampling the music and culture of the area.  Events are informal and friendly and those attending can dip in and out of what is on offer.  Many lasting friendships have been established over the years.  Our visit is always much appreciated by the local musicians, as they can present their fine music to a wider audience.

Good food

Gatherings always include a dinner, when those attending can meet together in pleasant, often historic, surroundings and enjoy good food and an entertaining after-dinner speech.  Other less formal meals are also often taken together and there are always ample opportunities to stop for a cup of tea and a chat!
