Brecon Cathedral Gathering
Book now for a weekend of music and discovery on the edge of the Brecon Beacons this May.
This gathering promises rich history, splendid architecture, and glorious music – in the company of fellow choir and organ lovers. Highlights include choral services (including Evensong with the combined choirs of Brecon, Llandaff and Newport cathedrals), a canal cruise, lunch at the famous Theatr Brycheiniog and performances from Christ College Chapel Choir and pupils from the college plus a recital by a quintet from the Band of the Prince of Wales.
Please note there is no train station in Brecon. The nearest train station is Abergavenny, and there is a regular bus service (X43) between there and Brecon. The last service on Sundays leaves Brecon at 5.21pm and is 50 minutes in duration. There are also various taxi options from Abergavenny Station, and parking in Brecon if you plan to travel by car. It would be advisable to plan your travel arrangements well in advance of the gathering. The Trust is not able to coordinate transport for attendees given different arrival and leaving times across the weekend.
The full weekend costs £190 and you can book each day separately.
