Cathedral Music Trust opens grant applications for 2021

Cathedral Music Trust has opened applications for its 2021 grant programmes to support leading choral foundations across the UK and Republic of Ireland. By making grants, Cathedral Music Trust seeks to maintain and expand the work of the choral foundations of cathedrals, collegiate churches and chapels and other places of worship, thus ensuring this extraordinary living tradition not only survives but evolves and flourishes.

The Trust appreciates that the impact of the global pandemic and ongoing lockdowns has put considerable strain on the finances of cathedrals, churches and other choral foundations. For this reason, it has suspended its usual Endowment and Capital Grant schemes and instead introduced a special revenue grant programme to help fund music departments’ core costs.

Any choral foundation that is eligible and in need of financial assistance to support its music is encouraged to apply. Full details, including eligibility criteria and the application process is available online. The deadline for submissions is 26 February 2021.
