Released Thursday 18 March, 8.30pm
Cathedral Music Trust has brought together forty professional cathedral singers from across the UK for a digital recreation of the ancient service of compline, aiming to bring peace and solace at a time of continued isolation and lockdown.
Music binds us together, and more so than ever right now. If you enjoy the service, please consider making a donation to support Cathedral Music Trust as it seeks to secure the future of this valued tradition for generations to come.
With thanks to Revd Lucy Winkett, Harry Christophers CBE, Roderick Williams, Eddie Redmayne and all the cathedral musicians who have helped bring this project to life. The service also marks the world-premiere of three brand new commissions by leading composers Bob Chilcott, Joanna Marsh and Paul Mealor.
